Drove most of day pretty exhausted. Stopped at BLM campground/ fishing hole best part nobody but me sleeping. Second best part free.

Raining and bout 33 when arrived. Definitely no tent setup today. After arriving instead of setting up tent I reorganized the back of Echosport moving stuff to one side and organizing stuff putting the extremely necessary next to hatch or a door.

Comfy and cozy although huge creepy vibe with with the dark and alone. If dueling banjos started playing I was ready to run. Noted location of keys, phone and cigarettes. No way was I leaving that stuff behind.
Extremely early. Ditto on the view.

I started very early still brisk as hell and here’s cool thing. Perhaps a Montana thing. I went from cold to snowy to rainy and back to perfect as I drove

I had read that the last bit of road to glacier had its challenges. Perhaps not for truckers used to it but for me? Let’s throw a big uh huh!! The last stretch was more than a challenge it could charitably be called a glorified logging road. No stops no place to pull over just occasional sand ramp in case trucks breaks go out.

Not even gravel but mud. Stopping to pee bad idea but had too.
Getting started again was worse. I felt like a shmuck with these cats hauling logs and passing me doing 55.

Last 30 miles or so was the less than pristine logging road but I made it to glacier.

No bears yet but they keep log at campground for sightings. Yes there’s quite a few a few entries.
Twisting and turning up one lane dirt stopping every now and again to let those by in opposite direction.
Seeing quite a few deer in camp which gives hope. I don’t think they’d hangout if bear nearby they’re not that stupid. Unlike humans we actually want the near death experience but not to near. Tomorrow full day o hiking with bear spray always nearby. I’m still gonna sleep in car tonight and could say it is cold but the bears like camp. Hell it’s free meal for them for me I paid only 15 bucks for the opportunity to be a snack.
